The Sailing Club is running an event at Arnside in association with the Wanderer Dinghy Owners Association.
A Wanderer is a stable 14 foot long sailing dinghy designed by Ian Proctor in 1978 for Margaret Dye, the wife of Frank Dye who sailed to Norway and Iceland in his Wayfarer. Ian Proctor was one of the leading dinghy designers of the twentieth century, also being responsible for Wayfarers and Toppers.
The Wanderer Dinghy Owners Association arranges meetings pf Wanderer Dinghies up and down the country and a national championship.
